Today Rooster Teeth released a new trailer for their upcoming show, RWBY, on Ain't it Cool News.
The trailer, titled White, depicts a new character in the show's cast. Red, the earlier trailer, had a girl in red clothing fighting off tons of lycan like monsters. White, on the other hand, illustrates a 1-on-1 battle between a girl in white clothes and a giant suite of armor.
I'm really excited to see what Rooster Teeth and show's creator Monty Oum can do with RWBY. The art style, music and fight choreography all seem to be big draws, at least for me.
The trailer can be seen here, and is embedded below:

Nintendo Direct
It's happening again (possibly even right now, I'm not really sure) Nintendo is holding another Nintendo Direct conference to release Wii U and 3DS news.
What I'm most interested is the Wii U news this round. Nintendo has yet to convince me that I should buy a Wii U, at least, not until they release Super Smash Bros. on it. And that is exactly what they need to do today: show off games that are only possibly on the Wii U -- games that people actually want.
Where is Custom Robo? Where is Kid Icarus? Where is Fire Emblem?
Sidenote: I'm loving Fire Emblem Awakening on 3DS. It's the reason I bought the system, more or less, and it feels good to finally feel like I haven't wasted tons of money.
What Nintendo really needs to do today is show the value of the Wii U, but in the end, that's not going to matter. The only people who will see the results of today are the hardcore gaming crowd. This is not the crowd Nintendo needs. They need to up their advertising game and sell this system to casual consumers. That is what made the Wii popular, and it is the only thing that will save the Wii U.
It's clear that they have had no idea how to market this thing thus far, and with PS4 and Xbox 720 on the way, their situation is becoming ever more dire.

Why it's important to maintain an online brand
Maintaining an online brand is important for many reasons. I think the best one is so you don't look boring.
Yes, it's important not to use the F--- word if you're going to be a school teacher or a banker or any other boring job. None of those ever sounded appealing to me, and neither has being perfectly professional and pristine on the internet.
I'm planning on becoming a game critic, and while maintaining an online brand is important for me, it differs how it is important for others. My main job while online will be making myself distinct from the thousands of others who are fighting for the same job as me. And, the internet is the only real place to have a brand now-a-days. Everything is online.
You would have to be dumb not to try and make a place for yourself on the internet if you have a career that will someday depend on it.

Improving Myself
After months of being curious about a product called: Alpha Brain, I've decided to order a trial pack and see what all the hubbub is about.
The supplement is advertised as affecting creativity, writing, strategy, testing, memory and dreams. It's not approved by the FDA, so I figure I've got a 50-50 shot of developing super powers by accident.
Now, I'm not just going off random web reviews or customer reviews published on their website for this junk. Well, I guess the truth is, more or less, worse. One of my favorite podcasts, the Rooster Teeth Podcast, has many members who have tried the product and highly endorse it. Technically it was a paid endorsement, but for episodes when it wasn't, cast members still praised its worth.
I'll post some more as soon as it arrives. I'm expecting good results, but we'll see.

What is up with Gearbox Software?
Gearbox Software is confusing.
They definitely have the capability to make a good game. Borderlands and Borderlands 2, while not really my style of game, are fine. They look nice, they play just fine and the writing is well done. But the problem seems to be from trying to finish other developers games.
First strike was Duke Nukem: Forever, a game long stuck in development-hell, which released to pretty terrible reviews. The game looked like it was never coming out. Hell, it was announced over 10 years prior to it's eventual release, but Gearbox swept in and picked up the franchise; surprising all of us, I think, when the game actually hit shelves.
Now, they seem to have struck fools gold again. Aliens: Colonial Marines is releasing to some harsh, very critical reviews. So far I've only made it to two of them. But IGN's and Polygon's reviews said it all.
I'm very curious to see how Gearbox and president Randy Pitchford respond to all this criticism. 2K ended up firing the PR agency covering Duke Nukem: Forever after they tweeted about withholding future review copies from critics who they felt were too mean.
I doubt a mistake like that will happen again. I'm hoping to see Randy Pitchford directly respond to this situation.

Initial Post
So the blogger UI sure does look a lot less crappy now.
I used to use blogger a long, long time ago. So long ago that apparently they've upgraded quite a bit since I've seen it.
The topics I'll probably end up posting about, as the title suggests, is video game, tech and stuff about me.
I'm very curious about how much you can futz about with the HTML function in blogger now. I'm doubting it will be able to handle the alterations I want to make, but whatever.
Overall, despite the good impressions the upgrade have made on me, Wordpress is still a lot more appealing to me. Even though I've been dealing with a lot of fake likes there at the moment.
Well, nothing is perfect.
